Academic Activities & Research Interests

Professor Marcacci teaches history of scientific thought and has devoted her research in two fundamental topics: the development of the scientific demonstration and axiomatical thought in antiquity (see Alle origini dell’assiomatica: gli Eleati, Aristotele, Euclide, Roma 2012) and the role of geoeliocentric astronomical systems in the Scientific Revolution (see Cieli in contraddizione: Giovanni Battista Riccioli e il terzo Sistema del mondo, Perugia-Modena 2018).
