Federico Di Pasqua serves as Rector of the Villa, Notre Dame’s student residence in Rome. As the living-learning community’s chief administrator, Di Pasqua is responsible for the well-being and safety of Villa residents. In his role, he strives to create an environment that fosters the moral and intellectual growth of all ND students in Rome.
Di Pasqua earned his bachelor’s degree (laurea triennale) in Classics from Sapienza University of Rome and his master’s degree from Freie Universität Berlin. He continued pursuing his interests in classical studies in the United States, where he earned his PhD from the Graduate Center of the City University of New York. His research focuses on digital humanities, Roman cultural history, and elegiac poetry. Prior to joining Notre Dame in May 2021, Di Pasqua taught ancient History at Hofstra University and numerous classics courses at the City University of New York.
