January 8 – 10, 2017
Second World Religions World Church (WRWC) conference (following on the successful September 2015 event on Notre Dame’s main campus dedicated to beauty). This conference will be dedicated to ecumenical and interreligious dialogue. Speakers will examine inter-religious dialogue between the Catholic Church and Islam, Hinduism, and indigenous religions, as well as ecumenical dialogue with Protestants and Orthodox. We will focus in particular on how culture (African, Asian, Middle Eastern, Latin American, or considered abstractly) shapes fruitful dialogue. Speakers will include members of Notre Dame’s own World Religions World Church area of theology and distinguished academics from Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and Africa.
