Rhetoric & Historiography

This conference (May 18-21 2023, Rome Gateway) aims at reconsidering the relation between Classical Rhetoric and Classical Historiography. 25 scholars from 7 different Countries are gathering to reassess the merits and the limits of Woodman's pioneering approach, to explore its continuing potential to stimulate new research, and, especially, to open up new methodologies to appreciate Classical Historiography.
