The Societal Value of Religious Freedom: An Integral Human Development Approach Applied to India, Italy, and Nigeria

Hosted by the Atlantic Council with support from the University of Notre Dame Ansari Institute for Global Engagement with Religion and the University of Sussex Religion & Foreign Policy Initiative, this event will explore the integral connection between religious freedom and human development.
Featuring case studies from India, Italy, and Nigeria, the conference will examine how religious freedom shapes inclusive societies and contributes to human flourishing. Leading scholars, policymakers, and religious figures will present their insights, followed by a roundtable discussing challenges, best practices, and lessons learned.
