Academic Activities and Research Interests
Andrea Moudarres is a scholar of the Middle Ages and the Renaissance, whose interests include epics, Dante, Machiavelli and the history of political thought. He is the author of numerous articles published in journals such as I Tatti Studies and Modern Language Notes and of the book The Enemy in Renaissance Epic: Images of Hostility from Dante to Tasso (University of Delaware Press, 2019). He lived in the United States for twenty years, earning an MA at the University of Notre Dame and a PhD at Yale University, and taught at various American universities, including the University of California at Los Angeles and the College of the Holy Cross. His most recent publication is an essay entitled Perché Trump? La politica americana spiegata agli italiani (TAB Edizioni, 2024).
