2nd meeting of the Global Forest Expert Panel on Forests for Social and Economic Resilience

Location: Notre Dame Rome

The Global Forest Expert Panels (GFEP) initiative of the Collaborative Partnership on Forests (CPF) is a mechanism to effectively link the information requirements of intergovernmental processes related to forests and trees with existing scientific expertise. GFEP produces objective and independent scientific assessments on key forest-related issues of concern and provides its reports to international forums to support informed and scientifically-based decision-making at the global level. In December 2023, GFEP initiated a new global scientific assessment on forests for social and economic resilience. The second Expert Panel meeting will focus on discussing the first draft chapters of the global assessment report.
