The Rome Summer Internship Program provides support and programming for those carrying out internships in the Eternal City over the summer months. Program participants directly benefit from the Gateway's local expertise and extensive network of resources, connections and collaborating institutions by:
- facilitating placements that are tailor-made to each student's background and unique goals
- advising students regarding funding opportunities through the Nanovic Institute, the Center for Ethics and Culture, and the Center Career for Development
- providing pre-departure support and a comprehensive on-site orientation
- offering professional development, language learning and networking opportunities throughout the program
Please note that the majority of host institutions in Rome require at least a low-intermediate level Italian language proficiency.
To register your interest in the program, email Mallory Nardin. Be sure to include your name, major, area of interest, desired internship placement, Italian language proficiency, and morning availability for an initial meeting via Zoom. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.
