Rome Undergraduate Program
The general education study abroad program (semester- or year-long) is designed for students in arts and letters, business, science and engineering. Students enroll in a required "All Roads Lead to Rome" on-site course offered by Notre Dame faculty and can take courses in a wide variety of disciplines in collaboration with John Cabot University.
Rome International Scholars
Students accepted to this semester-long program will pursue an independent research project based in Rome with Notre Dame faculty supervision. Students will take courses at local universities, live with Roman families, and carry out internships with local organizations. The inaugural cohort in the spring 2016 received funding to continue their research through the summer. Research funds for students are made available by the Center for Italian Studies.
Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering
Notre Dame's Department of Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering has established a program in collaboration with La Sapienza University that allows students to spend the fall semester of their junior year in Rome.
